Hy-Vee Burger of the Week: Pepper Burger

HyVee is back with another great way to spice up your tailgate grilling game. Chef Mark joins Sports Radio 810’s Aly Trost to show you how to make a Pepper Burger. All the ingredients you need to make this amazing burger are available at your local HyVee. (Recipe Below)

Pepper Burger | 6 servings

  • 1.5 LB Butcher Block Grind ground beef located in your meat counter (may contain Ribeye, Tenderloin, Brisket, KC Strip and Sirloin “Whatever was trimmed that morning, very steaky flavor”)
  • ½ medium red onion, peeled and finely diced
  • ½ Cup minced, Peppadew peppers
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 6 slices white cheddar cheese slices
  • ½ cup drained, sliced mild banana peppers
  • ½ cup Dijon pub mustard

Directions:

  • Mix together the Butcher Block Grind Beef with the red onions, peppadew peppers and salt and pepper
  • Combine thoroughly and then create burgers and allow to rest under refrigeration
  • Grill burgers to medium well. Allow to rest 2 minutes or so, place on bun
  • Add the cheddar cheese slices to top of burger, followed by the banana peppers and brush top of bun with the Dijon pub mustard
  • Add top bun
* Goes great with French Fries seasoned with a seasoning salt
