As co-host of the Border Patrol on Sports Radio 810 WHB, Steven often serves more as a Master of Ceremonies. One minute he’s conducting in-depth, thought-provoking interviews with a local, regional or national sports headline-maker, and the next he’s engaging in spontaneous banter with his in-studio co-hosts, bringing smiles to morning rush hour commuters and laughter to his legions of office worker followers.
Born and raised in the Northeast neighborhood of Kansas City, Mo., Steven KNOWS the area sports scene. A graduate of UMKC and a former Kansas City Golden Gloves boxer, Steven pulls no punches when it comes to airing his passion for the ‘Roos, Royals, Chiefs, Mizzou athletics and any other team that calls the Show Me State its home (except maybe in St. Louis).
In 1999, Steven was hired to host an evening sports show on Sports Radio 810. As his ratings grew, Steven went from burning the midnight oil to welcoming the sun as he was promoted to the vital morning drive slot where he has flourished, becoming one of the most recognizable and dependable voices in the market.
Steven can be heard across a seven-state region every weekday from 6 a.m. – 10 a.m. on 50,000-watt Sports Radio 810 WHB, the largest all-sports station in the nation.
